I was born in Western Australia and graduated from the University of Western Australia with a B.A. in Anthropology before moving to London to begin my career. I gained an M.B.A. and worked in the U.K. Italy and S.E. Asia in international trade, business development, the arts and education.

I live in North Fremantle with my husband and two sons.

My short stories have won or been shortlisted in a number of prizes including the Hope Prize in 2024.
